Do you want to please God?

There is no way we can please God without putting our faith in His Word. That means we have to practise and obey!

The Lord Jesus clearly says, “He who has My commandments and keeps them [puts them into practice], it is he who loves Me” (John 14.21).

Attending the church, being careful not to hurt anyone, or even living a religious life according to tradition, do not necessarily mean we are practising His Word. Putting His Word into practice involves taking action. This almost always has us going against the world and its latest trends.

For example, in the world, casual sex is normal. But for those who love the Lord Jesus, sex is only permitted after marriage, whether you are a man or a woman.

In other words, whatever is in style but goes against God’s laws displeases Him. But some could say, “But it’s so hard…”

Really! Then God’s Word remains true: “Narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7.14).

It’s easy to give orders, but those who obey are wise!
