Baptism in Water

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2010

Baptism in water is a starting point for those who truly want to start a new life with the Lord Jesus.
After the resurrection, the Lord Jesus taught His disciples about its importance by giving them a clear command: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." Mark 16.15,16
The meaning of baptism in water - In the same way that the burial of a body after death is a ceremony that pronounces the breaking of the last tie between man and his earthly life, baptism in water is the public declaration of a believer's breaking with with his own natural life. Our inner self is mortified, and sin no longer has dominion over us.

The Armor of God

"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Ephesians 6. 11
In order to succeed in the highly competitive world we live in today, one must come up with a whole arsenal of strategies and protective mechanisms which will keep him on the game for a professional career, a good salary, a comfortable home or simply desiring to keep a high standard of living.
We could say that to believe is to be in a war in order to achieve aimed dreams.
The spiritual world is no exception. No one can achieve freedom and victory by avoiding a confrontation with the opposition! When one sees all the potential dangers that await the unsuspecting Christian, one is temped to shudder.
All those temptations! Oppositions! Unexpected situations! Traps trying to affect you from every side! Problems trying to stop you! Family persecution! Living with light when the world tries to offer you illusions and darkness! Dealing with difficult people, etc.
The Bible makes no secret of the fact the devil and his angels are looking for every opportunity to get at us. Peter warns us to "be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." 1Peter 5.8

On Wednesday we will be teaching you how to put on the whole armor of God in order for you to know how to defend yourself from satan's attack and in the end you will remain firm in the presence of God.

Why Should We Keep Our Faith?

Why Should We Keep Our Faith?

As God is Spirit, He is also invisible and humanly speaking there's no way we can see Him, and the question is: How then can we as human being get in touch with someone whom we cannot see or touch? How can we approach Him and be sure that when we talk to Him He hears our voice? The answer is: Only by faith! Faith is the only channel that can link any human kind straight to the Living God and that's when we start a process of salvation. Without faith no one can be saved. Salvation is not a matter of merit or title or time we've been to church but exclusively by faith, and if salvation comes by faith we have to protect our faith until the end of our lives. No matter the price we have to pay for that. "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, maybe found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom have not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your FAITH - the salvation of your souls." 1Peter 1. 6-8
Whatever you can do to keep your faith, just go ahead and do it! There are important meetings in the Universal Church such as: Sundays morning and Wednesdays, in these meetings you can learn how to protect your faith.
Be blessed in Jesus Name.

Consider Your Ways

Consider Your Ways

"Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts; "Consider your ways!"
"You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, earns wages to put it into a bag with holes." Haggai 1.5-6
The verses above reveal the chaotic financial situation many people have gone through, though they've worked hard but it seems they have gained nothing at all because they've never accomplished their targets, what they really need to do seems to be something impossible which will never happen. But the question is: How can this situation change? First of all, you need to know what is the real will of God for you. Does He want you to starve and struggle for the rest of your life? Is He the creator of poverty and misery? Definitely not! He said, The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, Haggai 2.8 He has more than enough to provide in abundance whatever you need from Him, but there's a condition for that; and the condition is exactly the obedience to His commandments.
Sunday Feb 07th we will be consecrating you as faithful tither and the aim of this event is to lead you into the abundant life promised and guaranteed in the Holy Scriptures.

Day of Humbleness

Humbleness is not a synonym of weakness, is as a matter of fact, a great virtue in which only those who are strong and of faith are able to manifest it, to bow down before God in recognition of His majesty and allow Him to do His will in your life and do what you are not capable of doing is a pure act of humbleness and actually, this is exactly what most touches God's heart making Him to hear and answer your prayers. Isn't it an act of faith? Certainly, yes! Only those who really believe that what they desperately need comes from God's hands, they'll find no other option but humble themselves before God.
It is time for you to cast out all sense of pride that has prevented you from seeing that only God can change your life. Sunday 31st, Day of Humbleness. "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn away from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2Chronicles 7.14
